1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GutFix ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers. You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or any other applicable UK consumer protection legislation.
2. Description of Service
GutFix is an AI-powered gut health application that provides personalised dietary and supplement plans, progress tracking, analytics, and AI-assisted troubleshooting. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions based on user-provided health data.

Important: GutFix is NOT a medical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information provided through the Service is for informational and educational purposes only and is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

4. AI-Generated Content
GutFix uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude) to generate plans, insights, and responses. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or be incomplete
- AI suggestions are informational only and should be verified with qualified health professionals before implementation
- Supplement dosages and timing suggestions generated by AI should be confirmed with a pharmacist or healthcare provider
- GutFix makes no warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated content
- Individual results vary — testimonials and success stories do not guarantee similar outcomes
5. Genetic Data Terms
By uploading DNA data, you consent to automated analysis of specific health-relevant SNPs. You acknowledge that:
- DNA analysis results are not diagnostic — they indicate predispositions, not certainties
- Genetic predispositions do not guarantee health outcomes
- You should consult a genetic counselor or healthcare provider to interpret results
- Raw genetic data is processed server-side and is not permanently stored
- You may request permanent deletion of your DNA analysis at any time
6. User Accounts
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Providing accurate and complete health information
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
7. Subscription, Payments and Cancellation
7.1 Subscription Terms
GutFix offers free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the price displayed at the time of purchase
- Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we never store your payment card details
7.2 Auto-Renewal
Auto-Renewal Notice: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged on the same date each billing cycle. You can view your next renewal date in your account settings.
7.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until then. We will not make cancellation harder than signing up.
7.4 Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact us at legal@gutfix.ai or cancel through your account settings. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving your cancellation request, using the same payment method you used for the original purchase.
If you begin using the Service during the cooling-off period and later cancel within that period, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already provided.
7.5 Refund Policy
Beyond the 14-day cooling-off period, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. Founding member promotional pricing is non-transferable and subject to the terms communicated at the time of the offer.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, content, and technology, is owned by GutFix and protected by intellectual property laws. Your personalised plans and health data remain your property. You grant us a limited license to use your data solely to provide and improve the Service.
9. Prohibited Conduct
- Misusing the Service or using it for unauthorized purposes
- Attempting to reverse-engineer or extract AI models or algorithms
- Sharing account credentials with others
- Submitting false or misleading health information
- Using the Service to harm others or provide medical advice to third parties
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GutFix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of health, data, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
GutFix provides dietary and lifestyle suggestions only. We are not responsible for adverse health outcomes resulting from following AI-generated plan suggestions. You assume full responsibility for verifying suggestions with a qualified healthcare provider.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though you may request a copy of your data before deletion.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory provisions of local law.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
